Clarice Cliff APPLES pattern octagonal fruit bowl, 7.5cm high.
Art Deco original, circa 1930.
For those of you who are seasoned Clarice Cliff collectors, you will know instantly that this is one of her ‘Premier League’ patterns and quite a rarity. Pieces don’t appear very often and are usually hotly contested by buyers.
This bowl is in generally good condition and displays very well. It has a small area of professional restoration to the top rim and also some internal paint refreshing to the banding. Neither of which detract in any way from it’s immense appeal and are virtually invisible, but only fair to mention.
The bowl is stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base and also has a painted decorators mark.
The bowl is 7.5cm high and 15cm across the top.
