Clarice Cliff BANDED PATTERN small Bon Jour shape milk jug (from a tea-for-two set).
Art Deco original, circa 1936.
This is a nice milk jug, hand-painted with a stylish circular green and brown banded pattern. Would originally have been issued with a Bon Jour tea for two set, coffee set, or similar.
In overall good condition with no chips or restoration. It does have a small, dirty, hairline on the inside which can bee seen in the photos, but is not visible from the outside of the jug. Would probably improve if given a good soak in some warm, soapy water. Very minor crazing.
The milk jug carries the script Clarice Cliff back-stamp to it’s base.
The milk jug is 6cm high from the base to the top rim.
