Clarice Cliff BLUE CHINTZ pattern stamford Tea-for-two teaset. Comprisiong teapot, milk, sugar, two cups and saucers and a side plate.
Art Deco original, circa 1932.
Hand painted with stylised flowers and foliage with tonal blue and green banding. Very attractive and clean with no chips, cracks or stains. There has been some professional paint refreshing to some of the dark blue areas, a minor professional repair to one cup and some light crazing. All of which don’t detract in any way from this wonderful set, but only fair to mention.
Back stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base of all pieces plus impressed date marks for 1932.
Teapot is 12cm high from the base to the top of the lid. Milk jug is 6.5cm high and the sugar bowl is 6cm high. Saucers and plate are approximately 15cm diameter.
