Clarice Cliff BLUE FIRS pattern bon jour shape preserve pot. Correct lid.
Art Deco original, circa 1934. This is NOT a modern reproduction.
This is a lovely piece, which is expertly hand painted with the scarce Blue Firs pattern. This pattern is not seen very often, and only a couple of dozen examples are known to exist. I can’t recall seeing a bon jour preserve pot in this pattern, so I’m guessing this is pretty rare.
In good condition with no serious damage or restoration; bright and clean. If I’m being very picky I will mention a couple of miniscule sliver chips on the underside of the lid (cannot be seen when lid is in place) and a couple of small areas of minor crazing; neither of which detract from the immense appeal of this piece, but only fair to mention. Height is 10cm from the base to the top of the lid.
