Product Information
Clarice Cliff CROCUS pattern medium Stamford shape jug, 9cm.
Art Deco original, circa 1932.
This is a nice jug, hand-painted with the ever-popular Crocus pattern. The medium size Stamford jug was issued as part of larger tea sets and used as a milk or water jug, so they are not as common as the small size which would have been issued with a Stamford shape tea for two set.
No damage, chips or restoration, but there is a little bit of wear in a couple of places (purple flower and yellow on the spout) which doesn’t detract from it’s appeal, but only fair to mention and reflected in the price.
The jug carries the CROCUS, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff back-stamp to it’s base.
The jug is 9cm high from the base to the top of the spout.
