Clarice Cliff CROCUS pattern Bon Jour shape teapot.
Art Deco original, circa 1933.
This is a very attractive teapot and has two very good things going for it. A very nice, well-painted example of Clarice’s signature pattern on what is arguably one of her best teapot shapes!
The teapot is in very good condition with no chips, restoration or paint loss. It does have a small, tight, hairline on the edge of the spout (see pictures) which doesn’t an any way detract from this lovely piece, but only fair to mention.
The teapot carries the CROCUS Bizarre by Clarice Cliff back-stamp to it’s base.
The teapot is 13cm from the base to the top of the lid.
