Clarice Cliff CROCUS pattern covered crumpet/muffin dish.
Art Deco original, circa 1933.
Very nicely and expertly hand-painted with huge Crocus flowers right around the lid. This is one of Clarice’s signature patterns and you can certainly see why!
The dish and the lid are both in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. This is a rare shape, one which I don’t think I have seen before. Not to be missed if you collect CC shapes, especially in this pattern!
Stamped CROCUS, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base and has an impressed date stamp for 1933.
The dish is approximately 9cm high and 22.5 cm in diameter.
