Clarice Cliff CROCUS pattern shape 360 vase, early example, HUGE flowers. Circa 1929.

£625.00

This is a STUNNING Clarice Cliff Crocus pattern shape 360 vase.

An early example, with the huge Crocus flowers right round the vase. Circa 1929. These early pieces of Crocus are getting harder and harder to find and rarely come onto the market these days. Not to be missed!

Very well hand-painted and bright. There are no chips or cracks and the paintwork is in great condition.

I would like to guarantee this vase as being free from restoration, but I am not 100% sure of that statement. There is a tiny area on the inside of the top yellow band of the vase, just inside, which ‘may’ have been professionally restored in the past. If it has then it has been very well done. However, I have pondered this and I cannot say with any certainty that it is restored. It may just be a rough area which is a blemish that existed when the vase left the factory. Who knows? Either way, it does not detract from the immense appeal of this piece, but only fair to mention.

Marked with the huge Bizarre by Clarice Cliff rubber stamp mark to the base and also a hand-painted Crocus pattern name just above.

The vase is 20cm (8 Inches) high.

Please see photos for more details.
