Fabulous and RARE, a Clarice Cliff shape 458 cube inkwell in the BLUE CHINTZ pattern.
Art Deco original, circa 1932.
The inkwell is in good condition with no chips or cracks. Some professional restoration to the lid and a little bit of paint refreshing, which has been very well done and is virtually invisible, but only fair to mention.
Has the FANTASQUE, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff back stamp and a 458 shape number to the base. It also has a paintress mark to the base.
These cube inkwells are quite hard to find, especially with their original lid.
The inkwell body is 5.5cm high.
