Clarice Cliff DELECIA ANEMONE pattern large Tolphin shape jug with handle.
This is a very interesting and stunning piece of Clarice Cliff. A real statement piece!
It is essentially a large shape 342 vase with a handle, which may have originally been issued as a jug and bowl set….but who knows?
The jug itself is a massive 25cm high and is expertly hand-painted right around the piece with very attractive flowers and Delecia-style paint runnings.
The back-stamp is the slightly later post-1936 script style Clarice Cliff mark.
This could, possibly have been made for a customer special order, as a matching or as an experiment. We may never know.
It is in great condition with no damage or restoration.
