This is a very stunning Clarice Cliff DELECIA POPPY Coronet shape jug.
Art Deco original, circa 1934.
Hand painted with huge poppy flowers and fabulous paint runnings below the flowers. The pattern wraps right around the body of the jug.
This is a desirable and sought-after pattern on a good shape. The jug is in very good condition and has no serious damage or restoration, but does have a very tiny sliver chip to the base of the foot-rim, which can be seen in some of the photos. Not particularly bad, but only fair to mention and reflected in the price.
Stamped DELECIA, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base.
The jug is 14.5cm high.
