This is a very stunning Clarice Cliff DELECIA POPPY conical bowl, large size. A real statement piece!
Art Deco original, circa 1934.
Hand painted with huge poppy flowers inside and fabulous paint runnings both outside and inside the bowl.
This is a desirable and sought-after pattern. The bowl is in immaculate condition and has no damage or restoration. If I’m being super-picky I will mention a miniscule under-glaze frit to the top rim, which isn’t damage but something which would have been there when the piece left the factory.
Stamped Clarice Cliff in script.to the side of the bowl (faded) It also has an impressed shape number on the base of one of the feet, underneath.
The bowl is 11cm high and 23cm diameter.
