Clarice Cliff DOUBLE V (variant) ashtray.
Circa 1929. Art Deco original.
Thickly hand-painted and bright in orange, blue and green with a central V and leaves design to the well of the ashtray.
No damage or restoration, a couple of small paint frits, as is common on this age of pottery.
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base. Also has an impressed date mark for October 1929.
Width of ashtray is 12.5cm.
