Clarice Cliff FLOREAT pattern small conical jug.
Art Deco original, circa 1936.
This is a lovely little jug with a very Art Deco pattern. Hand painted and bright.
This pattern is normally seen on earlier pieces and the post-1936 backstamp on this particular jug would indicate is being a matching or a special order for a customer.
No serious damage, chips or cracks. There is a very small area of professional restoration on the top rim of the jug in the yellow banded-area, just inside. The restoration is virtually invisible and in no way detracts from the appeal of this piece, but is reflected in the price.
Stamped Clarice Cliff to the base.
The jug is 11.5cm high.
