Clarice Cliff FOREST GLEN pattern small conical, solid-handled, cup & saucer,.
Art Deco original, circa 1935.
Hand-painted with what is arguably Clarice’s last great landscape pattern. Cottage with a red roof and red delicia-style sky which runs down and around the edge of the cup.
Bizarre by Clarice Cliff backstamp to both cup & saucer and impressed date mark for 1935.
Both cup and saucer are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. A couple of very minor paint frits to the top rim of the cup; only fair to mention.
Cup is 5.5cm high, 7cm across the top. Saucer is 12.5cm wide.
