Clarice Cliff GAYDAY pattern tankard shape coffee cup and saucer.
Art Deco original, circa 1930.
Very nicely hand-painted with a good version of the pattern right round the cup and has nice banding on the saucer.
No chips, cracks or restoration. In clean condition. Some minor paint smudging (done by the original paintress) to the well of the saucer (see pictures).
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base of the cup and the saucer and also has a handwritten Gayday pattern name, plus a date stamp (indistinct) to the base of the saucer.
The cup is 5cm high.
