Clarice Cliff HOUSE & BRIDGE large beehive honey pot with original lid.
Art Deco original, circa 1932.
Very nicely hand painted and bright. This is a sought-after pattern, one of Clarice’s best.
No serious damage, chips or cracks. It ‘may’ have a very small area of professional restoration to the lid (in my opinion), but very hard to spot, so I’m not 100% certain. However, that doesn’t in any way detract from the appeal of this piece; only fair to mention.
Approximately 9cm high and 9.5cm across the base.
Back-stamped FANTASQUE Bizarre by Clarice Cliff. It also has an old auction sticker on the base from Christie’s, South Kensington dated 26 May 2000 (Lot 105).
