Clarice Cliff large size HOUSE & BRIDGE pattern plate, 10 inches (25cm).
Circa 1931. Art Deco original.
This is a very striking and nicely decorated plate which has the full HOUSE & BRIDGE pattern on display. It is the large size, which is great to have as a centerpiece for any Clarice Cliff collection. This pattern is one of Clarice’s highly collectable landscapes and can be easily recognised as her work. Just stunning!
No serious damage or restoration, very clean and attractive. A couple of minor paint ‘flea-bites’ to the orange band, just above the tree. Not significant, but only fair to mention.
Stamped FANTASQUE Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the rear of the plate. There is also an impressed date stamp for 1931 and a small piece of original retailer label remaining.
