Product Information
This is a rare Clarice Cliff LUPIN TREE Bon Jour shape Tea for Two teaset with Biarritz cups, saucers & plate.
Art Deco original, circa 1936.
Superbly decorated in this eye-catching and interesting pattern.
All pieces are in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. This is a rare, unknown, mid-1930s pattern which we have named LUPIN TREE. We cannot find this pattern in any of the books, so it’s original pattern name is unknown. If anyone does know the original pattern name then please let us know.
These complete sets are scarce and this one is no exception. It must date to around mid-to-late 1936, as some pieces are stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff and others carry the simpler Clarice Cliff script backstamp (which was introduced in 1936 and the Bizarre mark phased out).
The height of the teapot is 14cm and the plates/saucers are 15cm wide.
Please see photos for more details.
