Clarice Cliff MELON (orange) egg cup plate and four associated egg cups.
Art Deco, circa 1932.
This is a fantastic Melon pattern egg cup plate with its original handle. Well decorated and bright. The egg cups have been added to the plate at a later date and aren’t the original cups for the set. The egg cups are from the same era as the plate, and all four carry appropriate back-stamps for the date (see pictures).
All in good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Some minor paint frits.
The plate is stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base.
The plate is 15cm diameter and the egg cups are 4cm high.
