Clarice Cliff MELON (orange) pattern sabot/clog.
Art Deco original, circa 1930.
This is a lovely piece, very well painted and bright with the full Melon pattern around the front of the shoe. The Melon pattern has been gaining ground with collectors in recent years and is now one of the more desirable designs.
No damage or restoration, in good condition. There is a small firing fault on the inner rim, which isn’t damage and would have been there since it was made; only fair to mention (pictured).
Stamped FANTASQUE by Clarice Cliff to the base.
Dimensions of the sabot are 7cm high by 14cm length.
