Clarice Cliff – MELON (orange) pattern – A circular plate.
Art Deco original, circa 1929.
Hand painted with abstract fruit within brown, black and orange banding. This is one of Clarice’s signature designs and this plate would make a fantastic centrepiece to any collection.
In good condition with no chips, cracks or stains. There is some oxidation to the blue paint which doesn’t detract from it’s appeal, but only fair to mention (see pictures).
Stamped with the script Fantasque by Clarice Cliff mark to the back of the plate plus an impressed date stamp for 1929.
Plate width is 22.5cm (9 inches).
