Clarice Cliff MELON (orange) small ashtray.
Circa 1930. Art Deco original.
Thickly hand-painted and bright in one of Clarice’s signature patterns and one of the most widely collected abstracts from the early 1930s.
In generally good condition, but does have some professional restoration to the rim of the ashtray, which has been done very well and is virtually invisible, but only fair to mention.
Stamped Fantasque by Clarice Cliff in script to the base. Also has an impressed date mark for 1930.
Width of ashtray is 11cm.
