Product Information
This is a ‘must have’ item for teapot collectors, one of Clarice’s sought-after ‘Tee Pee’ teapots, which was designed in the 1930s, but not issued until after WWII, for export to Canada.
It is in generally good condition, but is sold A/F (As Found/At Fault) due to a broken piece at the front, near the spout. The character’s arm has broken off, but is still present and could easily be repaired by a competent restorer (see photos).
There are no other chips or cracks on the teapot.
The teapot has it’s correct, original lid and is pretty clean inside. There is some minor crazing.
The teapot is 18cm high from the base to the top of the lid.
Stamped GREETINGS FROM CANADA to the base in green ink and also Clarice Cliff, Newport Pottery, England. There is a hand-written number 250 on the base.
NO RESERVE, must sell. Please read description carefully and grab yourself a Clarice Cliff BARGAIN!
