Clarice Cliff ORANGES and LEMONS pattern conical tea cup & saucer.
Art Deco original, Circa 1932.
Hand painted with fruit and foliage with black, red, orange and yellow banding, This is a very stylish ART DECO pattern and the strong use of orange, red, yellow and black just make the pattern so vibrant and appealing. This is a rare pattern.
Bizarre by Clarice Cliff backstamp on both the cup & the saucer. Impressed date mark for 1932 to the base of the saucer.
No serious damage or restoration, but there is a very small flea-bite chip to the underside of the edge of the saucer, which cannot be seen from above (see photos).
The cup is 6cm high and the saucer is 15cm across.
