Clarice Cliff ORIGINAL BIZARRE (OB) octagonal sandwich plate, green edge.
Circa 1928. Art Deco original.
Thickly hand-painted and bright, in very nice condition with stunning green edging and outer banding, and a great star-wheel pattern in orange, purple and green to the centre of the plate.
No damage or restoration, a small amount of age-related crazing to the rear of the plate.
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base in gold. Also has an impressed date mark for 1928.
Width of plate is 14cm.
