Clarice Cliff ORIGINAL BIZARRE (OB) octagonal sandwich plate, small size.
Art Deco original. Circa 1928.
This attractive early piece is thickly hand-painted and bright with a bold, geometric rotating-star pattern in blue and red, outlined in green. A very stylish design!
In overall good condition with no chips, cracks or stains; some age-related crazing (which is often the case on these early pieces).
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff in gold to the base. Also has an impressed date stamp for 1928 (indistinct).
