Clarice Cliff ORIGINAL BIZARRE (OB) octagonal sandwich plate, small size.
Art Deco original. Circa 1928.
This attractive early piece is thickly hand-painted and bright with a bold, geometric rotating-star pattern in blue, orange and green, outlined in black and surrounded by a thick orange band around the edge of the plate. A very stylish design!
In overall very good condition with no damage, chips or stains; some very mild age-related crazing to the plate, mainly on the back.
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base. Also has an impressed date mark for 1928.
