This is a Clarice Cliff PINEGROVE pattern Trieste shape milk jug & associated saucer.
Art Deco, circa 1936.
Probably one of Clarice’s last great patterns from the 1930s, Pinegrove is still popular with collectors and not often seen these days. This is a Trieste shape milk jug from a Trieste tea set and an associated saucer.
The milk jug is free from damage or restoration but does have a little wear to the paint on the top rim and a couple of minor paint frits to the black base. Not really noticeable, but only fair to mention.
The saucer is in generally good condition, but does have a little wear and a couple of small sliver chips to the underside.
Both pieces carry the script Clarice Cliff back-stamp.
The milk jug is 7cm high and the saucer is 15cm across.
