Clarice Cliff RAVEL (orange) conical demitasse coffee cup & saucer. Circa 1931.
Hand painted to both the cup & the saucer with this stylish and under-rated Art Deco pattern. Very attractive green and black banding to the cup and the saucer.
Both the cup and the saucer carry the Bizarre by Clarice Cliff mark. The saucer has an impressed date stamp for 1931 (indistinct).
In good condition with no cracks, chips or restoration. There is a very minor under-glaze smudge on the bottom rim of the cup which is only fair to mention, but doesn’t detract in any way.
The cup is approximately 5.5cm high and the saucer is 10.cm across.
