Clarice Cliff Ravel pattern covered powder/cream cheese dish. Circa 1930.
This is a fairly rare shape, not often seen.
Strongly hand-painted with stylish geometric shapes and banding to the lid, which match those on the base. Very attractive.
No damage or restoration. The lid is perfect and the base is also in very good condition, but does have a couple of areas of what looks like old glue (where some felt appears to has been attached in the past) on the bottom (see photos). I will try to remove the glue prior to sale if I can.
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff. Made in England.
The base is 4.5cm high and 12.5 cm across the top.
