Clarice Cliff RHODANTHE Bon Jour shape teapot trio (teapot, milk & sugar).
Art Deco original, circa 1936.
This set is beautifully hand-painted with large, pendulous trees in shades of brown, orange and yellow and looks very striking.
In overall good condition with no chips or cracks. The lid of the teapot has been restored in the past, but most of the restoration is underneath and cannot be seen from above. There has been some associated over-painting on the lid. This repair does not detract from the appeal of this item, but only fair to mention.
These sets don’t come along too often and this one would make a superb addition to any Clarice Cliff collection.
All pieces in the set are stamped with the Clarice Cliff script backstamp.
The teapot is 13cm from the base of the foot to the top of the lid. Both the milk and sugar are approximately 6cm high.
