Clarice Cliff RHODANTHE pattern triple bonjour vase.
This is a VERY RARE shape, circa 1934.
In all my days of collecting Clarice Cliff (over 30 years), I have only ever seen a couple of these vases. The shape is known from only a few examples and is a genuine CC rarity!
Beautifully hand painted both front and back, this vase would make an amazing centerpiece for any collection.
The large A below the back-stamp would indicate this piece as having been produced for an exhibition, demonstration or as a special order for a customer. This is truly an item of museum quality.
The vase is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a small area of professional restoration to the top of the back panel, which has been done exceptionally well and is invisible, but only fair to mention. There is a small amount of minor crazing.
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base. The vase is 16.5cm high.
