Clarice Cliff RUDYARD pattern globe shape cup and saucer.
Art Deco original. Circa 1933.
Good overall condition with no chips or cracks. A small hairline to the top rim of the cup has been professionally restored, and is virtually invisible but only fair to mention. Some associated paint refreshing.
This is a nice example of a popular and stylish pattern. Strong decoration right around the cup and good banding to the saucer.
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the bases of both pieces. Also has an impressed date mark (indistinct) for 1933 on the base of the saucer.
The saucer is 14cm diameter. The cup is 5cm high.
