This is a STUNNING Clarice Cliff SUNRAY pattern side plate.
Art Deco original, circa 1929.
Hand painted with one of Clarice’s most iconic and sought-after (and very Art Deco) patterns. Expertly decorated to the central well of the plate and surrounded by amazing banding in orange, black, yellow and blue. Bright and stylish.
The plate is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. If I’m being very picky I will mention a couple of very, very light scratches to the centre of the plate, which don’t detract in any way from the appeal of this piece, but only fair of me to point out. Some crazing to the plate.
The back of the plate has the huge, early, Bizarre by Clarice Cliff mark and an impressed date stamp for 1929.
Plate diameter is 20cm (8 Inches).
