Clarice Cliff UMBRELLAS pattern octagonal sandwich plate, small size.
Art Deco original. Circa 1929.
This attractive early piece is thickly hand-painted and bright with a bold umbrellas pattern in blue, orange and green, outlined in brown and green and surrounded by thick orange and yellow bands around the edge of the plate. A very stylish design!
In very good condition with no damage, chips, stains or restoration.
Stamped in script Fantasque by Clarice Cliff to the base. Also has an impressed date mark for October 1929.
Width of plate is 14cm.
