Clarice Cliff VISCARIA pattern, shape 475 finned dish. Very stylish shape.
Art Deco original, circa 1935.
A lovely dish which has been nicely decorated with the ever-popular Viscaria pattern. These finned dishes are fairly rare and are certainly a ‘Deco’ statement piece.
There are no chips or cracks and the dish is in generally good condition. I suspect there is a little bit of old restoration to the inside well of the dish, but it’s fairly hard to see and doesn’t detract from the appeal of this item. Only fair of me to mention it and to make any prospective buyers aware. Some age-related crazing.
The underside of the dish carries the Bizarre by Clarice Cliff back stamp, and shape number 475.
The dish is approximately 33cm long, 16.5cm wide and 6cm high.
