Clarice Cliff WOODLAND pattern ashtray.
Circa 1930. Art Deco original.
Thickly hand-painted and bright in blue, yellow, green, black, lilac and orange with a flowers and lollipop-trees design to the well of the ashtray.
No serious damage or stains, but does have some paint refreshing to the orange band around the edge, which has been expertly applied and is virtually invisible, but only fair to mention.
Stamped Bizarre by Clarice Cliff to the base. Also has an impressed date mark for May 1930 and a painted pattern number of 8869.
Width of ashtray is 12.5cm.
