This is a lovely Maling Pageant of Newcastle & The North mug with handle. Art Deco original.
It was issued by Maling in 1931 to commemorate the festival and is quite a rare item. Not many of these around and definitely a ‘must-have’ for any serious Maling collector.
In generally good condition, but does have a couple of issues. There is a tight hairline down one side of the mug and also some paint loss/wear to the handle. These issues could easily be resolved by a competent restorer or left as-is. Priced accordingly.
Stamped Maling, Newcastle on Tyne to the base.
The colours are still bright and vibrant. The mug is 9cm high.
