This is a set of 3 Clarice Cliff CORNCOB jugs (Small, Medium & Large) plus two 2 small plates.
Art Deco originals, circa 1938.
This set is quite a rarity, as this range is not often seen.
Although the jugs are in a plain glaze, they are very tactile and this set would look fantastic on a pine dresser or as part of a kitchen display.
All pieces are in overall good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some mild crazing and a small dirty patch of crazing on the Medium size jug (this would come out if soaked in hot water we think).
All pieces are stamped with the script Clarice Cliff mark either in green or black ink.
The Large jug is 16cm high, the Medium jug is 13cm high and the Small jug is 9cm high. The plates are 16.5cm diameter and both have impressed date marks for 1938 (indistinct).
