This is a rare Sowerby/Davidsons Art Deco glass ashtray from the Newcastle 1929 North East Coast Industry Exhibition. Featuring a picture of the famous Tyne Bridge, which was only a few years old at that time.
Probably only sold at the event, I can’t imagine that many of these still exist….
In good condition, with no damage, chips or cracks.
This will be of interest to Maling Pottery collectors, as Maling made a lot of souvenirs and collectables for this exhibition and any serious collector would love to have this piece in their collection, I am sure.
The ashtray is 12cm in length, by 7.5cm width.
