VERY RARE Susie Cooper 1920s coffee set – complete. Pattern number E/283.
Art Deco original. Hand painted with a striking pattern in greens, yellows and black. The pattern may be called ‘Peacock Leaves’, but I am not 100% sure of that.
All pieces of the set are present – Coffee pot & lid, cream jug, sugar bowl, six demitasse coffee cups & saucers.
All pieces carry the pattern number E/283 and most of the pieces are also stamped with the Susie Cooper triangle mark –
A SUSIE COOPER PRODUCTION.
The set is in very good condition with no damage or chips. There has been some professional restoration to the sugar bowl and to one of the cup handles, but that has been done to a very high standard and is virtually invisible, but only fair to mention. There is some light age-related crazing to some of the pieces in the set.
The coffee pot is approximately 21cm high, the cream jug 11cm high, the sugar bowl is 6cm high and the cups are 5cm tall.
